School Journal (read this one)

At school we had to write a journal (about school work and how we felt about year 7 and starting high school) this is what i wrote:

Questions I should ask myself when writing the journal(we had to write this)

• What have I done in class?
• What have i been focusing on?
• How is my learning different to Primary school?
• Have I improved, if so how?
• How could I improve next time?
• What have I enjoyed and why?
• What did I learn and how did I do this?
• What new ideas/skills did I learn?
• What do I think about how my teacher's teach thing?

Entry of 13/2/07

These 2 weeks have been pretty huge we haven't really been focusing on anything (exept the 12 and 13th and engligh and maths)

In class we don't really learn that different to primary school but the whole going to different classes in different rooms is defintely strange.

Entry of 14/2/07 for Maths

Today we got into groups and used factors to come with the best multo board then played off against other groups. Then we wrote a report on multo. I think we could improve this grid by puting our multo numbers in different squares

Entry of 15/2/07 for Maths

Today in maths it was more of a fight for puting your sum up on the board. We defintely wouldn't be able to do this in primary school, so it was really fun

Today in debating I got really nervous when I was giving the speech and totally stuffed up I think I could do better if I was more prepared

Lately science has been pretty fun with all the acid , busen burners and stuff like that.

Why were you so nervous? How could you be more prepared? Is it the experiments that are fun or the overall concepts?

Yes, working in groups did help because everybody has different ideas and when all the ideas are combined became a really good idea

In a maths report you have to tell everyone what you had to do, what was the best way to do it and what you thought about it,

The maths on the board was fun because we weren't just sitting down, we were standing up.

I was nervous about giving a speech in debating because there were a lot of people watching and it makes me feel embarrassest

I should of probobly practised my speech a bit more than I did.

I think science was fun because it's new .

I have learnt lots of stuff this term such: how to write a fabel, what science equipment names are, how to play multo and how to structure a law

Answer to A: Science

B:Drugs in Swimming

C:We had a whole lot of experiments on about 6 powders, in water, acid, heat and Iodine and write down what we found happened then we were given a mystery powder and we had to workout what powder it was doing those tests

D:We did it this way because if we didn't the whole thing wouldn't make sense and not work.

E:Maybe I would have given us more time to write down the results
